FL-GAPNA Quarterly Meeting

FL-GAPNA will hold its quarterly meeting February 23rd, 2013 at 1pm in Plantation, FL at the Renassainance Hotel.  The hotel is located off I595 west of Davie, exit 4, west to Pine Island Road.  If anyone want to come beforehand on the 22nd, there will be a FMDA town hall meeting with dinner at the same location and FMDA has reserved a block of rooms for $159.00/night;  just mention the FMDA, INC- Board Meeting Block.

We will discuss the upcoming geriatric conference in April that the Gulf Coast Chapter is putting on and start formulating our plans and committeee members for our geriatric conference to be held April 2014.  We will also need to move forward on our Alzheimers project for this year and are asking for volunteers to help since JoAnn Fisher will be unable to chair this committee due to her fantastic new job, we all wish you the best of luck JoAnn!!  We also need to discuss promotional items, ie: pens with logos, for giveaways at future events.  If anyone has any further issue to discuss or add to the agend, please pass them along to me.  George Smith, from the Gulf Coast Chapter will hopefully be there to speak to us on their upcoming conference at the end of April, which would be a good time to have our next general membership meeting.

I would like to have aBoard meeting at the end of our general meeting.  We can not this before hand because the room will be occupied by the FMDA CME/EDU meeting, which several of us will be involved with.  I am trying to get a lite lunch provided for our meeting and will let all know more as time comes closer.
